Long-haired, Birkenstock-wearing hippies are not the target demographic at Earth Day Fest, an ongoing art show at an artists loft in Fort Lauderdale. The organizers say theyre taking Earth Day upscale. To raise environmental awareness, theyre offering free rubdowns, courtesy of the massage therapists of the American Institute School of Wellness and Beauty in Margate. To benefit school art programs and the next Earth Day Fest, theyre holding a silent auction. And all the art decorating the 2,400-square-foot gallery is for sale. Live music by more than a half-dozen bands abounds on the third floor, and theres a spacious balcony on which to take in the stars and get that massage. Could there be more? There sure is, and for some, it might be the best part: There will be free cupcakes and an open bar.
