As you circle the scene, immersed in artwork on walls and artistic activity everywhere, you may become dizzy. At all times as this big, lovely planet revolves around the sun personal revolutions are taking place in the minds of the artists. These new works inspire further works, and on and on. Its a cyclical thing. Sunday, several artists who work in diverse media will be rounded up at Dada for
Invoke the Arts. DJs will spin indie dance, breaks, house, and dubstep; cameras will roll, as the event is being filmed for an upcoming documentary; and the hips of the Hoop So Fly crew will gyrate, sending Hula-Hoops round and round.
Just think: Later, youll have the chance to relive the experience when it is reborn in film form. From there, you may paint a picture depicting a scene from the film, at which point, like in the Lion King, Raffiki will hold your canvas to the sun from a cliff over the Serengeti. The circle of art! The event is free and begins at 8 p.m. at Dada (52 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach). Call 561-330-3232, or visit dada.closermagazine.com.
