If you’ve been to one church fair, you’ve been to them all. There’s the bake sale area: cookies, cakes, and no complaints. There’s the craft area: because you can never have enough plastic doll heads with macrame bodies. And there’s the game area: You totally rule at tossing the bean bags (hand-sewn by the craft ladies) through the plywood with the holes cut out of it. But while most church fairs are like something out of the past, there’s one that’s looking forward. Literally. Come to the “Summer Psychic Fair” fundraiser at the Unitarian Fellowship of South Florida (3970 NW 21st Ave., Oakland Park) on Saturday and find out what the future holds for you. In addition to the usual food and vendors, from noon to 6 p.m., you can learn your fate from the runes, let the tarot tell your fortune, or if you’re into reminiscing, get a past-life reading. Each reading is $10 or three for $25 — every reading after three is only $5. Come on, even if you claim not to believe in psychics, you can’t pass up a bargain like that.
