The Drinkers on the Bus Go Round and Round

In Fort Lauderdale, there is a longstanding tradition of loading onto a bus -- a trolley, actually -- and getting loaded. It's called the Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop. To participate, you just check in, hop aboard, and roll from bar to bar (ten total) with dozens of friends and strangers, enjoying a free drink at each spot. As you and your friends get sillier, the drivers stay cool and sober as they steer their respective trolleys on a route that runs from the downtown area to the beach and back.

As the night goes on, the experience will begin to resemble a school field trip, except there will be no authority figures telling you to quiet down. In fact, the very people who chaperone kiddie trips to planetariums will be getting hammered right alongside you -- for a good cause. All of the proceeds from the event will go to worthy charities. To start your adventure, head to one of the check-in spots -- Esplanade Park (400 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale) or Yolo Plaza (333 E.
