More About

Botticelli, Parmigianino, Allori, Giordano, Monaco — all old masters, all of whom created works as priceless as the Crown Jewels and lovelier by far. In “Offering of the Angels,” work by these men, on loan from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, stand side by side at the Museum of Art|Fort Lauderdale. All the works are thematically related to the Eucharist, which isn’t as weird as it sounds. (Half the art created in the Renaissance had to do with the Eucharist.) There’s Monaco’s Saint John and Mary Magdalene, Boticelli’s Madonna and Child, Giordano’s Climb to Calvary, and more. “Offering of the Angels” runs through April 8 before departing for Pennsylvania. Admission costs $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors at the museum (1 Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). Visit moafl.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 25. Continues through April 8, 2011
