Some 33 years after the group formed, L.A.-based hard rock act Dokken is still rockin'. In the heady peak days of the Sunset Strip scene, the group stood out thanks to frontman Don Dokken's inimitable vibrating wail. It soared best over the kinds of songs the group did best: fist-pumping power ballads hard enough for big-haired guys but sexy enough for the girls who loved 'em. Dokken himself remains the star attraction of his group, which broke up briefly in the late '80s but has been on the road, recharged, since the early '90s. He's the only remaining original member, but fans will likely care only that the songs themselves remain the same.

Opening support comes from fellow Strip survivors L.A. Guns, a group with a contentious history in its revival years. Two versions of the act currently tour with slightly different names. This one is the official version, featuring Phil Lewis on vocals — and is not to be confused with Tracii Guns' competing version, which is also playing some Florida dates around the same time.
