When the NFL season began, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Philadelphia Eagles were going to come to town and slam the Miami Dolphins in the face with their juggernautness. But things haven't quite turned out to be as awesome for the Eagles as originally thought. They signed some big-name players in the offseason and surrounded dynamic quarterback Michael Vick with gobs of talent. They even deemed themselves "The Dream Team" and made comparisons to the Miami Heat. (How dare they!) But injuries to Vick and a bad case of underachieving have turned this supposed Super Bowl dream season into a nightmare for Philly. No better place (besides Sun Life Stadium) to watch them limp onto the field than at Parrot Lounge (911 Sunrise Lane, Fort Lauderdale), the home base for Eagles fans. Although it's are a shell of the team everyone expected it to be, it'll still probably slam the Dolphins in the face, but at least the two teams' combined suckiness -- and the Svedka vodka specials at Parrot -- will keep things interesting! Kickoff is at 1 p.m. No cover. Call 954-563-1493, or visit parrotlounge.com.
