When it's not the high-anxiety adventure of A&E's Storage Wars, it's the Thelma and Louise salvage fest of Lifetime's Picker Sisters. If we want to revisit the originators, it's a switch to PBS for Antiques Roadshow. And should we need to curb our collections, an episode of Hoarders keeps us in check. If our current TV playlist is any indication, there is something deeply satisfying and heartwarming about rummaging through other people's gently used belongings. Which is why a visit to the Fort Lauderdale Holiday Antiques Show and Sale is really calling to us. Break out the white gloves and head to War Memorial Auditorium (801 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale) Wednesday for a show that features 50 local and out-of-state dealers who will be bringing everything: bronze, pottery, antique furniture, porcelain, and silver.
