After dinner, a waiter sneaks a peek at a ball game as he sings a verse from Manu Chao. I sip a terrific cafe con leche and wish there were sandwiches on the evening menu. I want to come back for a medianoche on the restaurant's sweet bread. Havana's is the kind of clean, well-lighted place that makes me want to stick around.

4 of us went to dinner tonight and were all VERY pleased with the food and service. Alejandro our server was the BEST. This was the first time at this resturant and I WILL recomend it to everyone I know! I couldnt complain if I tried. The food was more than I could eat and had great flavor. The prices were average for an excellent meal!! I have never written a review for a resturant but this was so exceptional I had to. Eat here and have a great time!!

Don Carlin is on Oakland Pk Blvd, just west of Hiatus (about 1.5 miles from Havana's) and is soooo much better. The food at Havana's is mediocre at best (we had empanadas that were still cold on one side). La Bamba is less than a mile away and smacks Havana's to the floor. Awesome margaritas and mexican/latin food!

Havana's comes off as a chain restaurant with the formulaic design. Much better places to go in the sunrise area!

I eat at Don Arturo's every week or 10 days for lunch and often bring friends and family when we are looking for a nice dinner. Never had a bad meal, the staff is fantastic and quick with a refill. The Roast Pork has always been great and I am very fond of the black beans. For an Original Gringo who has been eating cuban and latin food for 20 years. I love the place. But I agree, the decor is dated, most times I feel it adds to the expereince, sometimes not. Jack

Havana's is not in Plantation. It's in Sunrise.

New York Mart is actually a Chinese grocery.
