If you’re sick to death of Valentine’s Day by now, that’s OK. Us too. But don’t hate on the day. Don’t rant, “It was invented by the greeting card companies.” Wow, did you come up with that all by yourself? Shut up. Look, you either actually don’t care or you’re just as bitter and lonely as everyone else, and either way, the atmosphere of ol’ Paris is what you need. At Tryst on Saturday, Green Room (109 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale) will combine Montmartre, the district that houses the Moulin Rouge and the sweet Amélie, and, of course, the red-light district. Wear red and you get a free drink before midnight. There will be a fashion show put on by Jewelz Couture, and seven artists will display their photography, paintings, and video installations. House DJs Mig and Andie Sweetswirl will play French Pop tunes, and there will be $2 PBRs all night. So, go: Play a few rounds of alcohol-fueled Truth or Dare to distract you from the empty void that is your life and from those happy couples and those arrogant, well-adjusted singles.
