It’s still a good eight months until the Stick Rock, but in South Florida, the indie craft scene never rests. The Bubble (810 NE Fourth Ave., Fort Lauderdale) puts its own bohemian spin on the indie market with the “Handmade Souk: Indie Craft Emporium & After Party” from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. Themed after the outdoor markets held in Morocco, the Bubble’s version of a souk will include hand-stitched clothing, vintage items, vintage-inspired crafts, and handmade and antique jewelry. There will also be a hookah lounge and live belly-dancing performances. You can lounge like a sheik puffing strawberry-flavored smoke while beautiful houris twirl and undulate before you. Way Wicked Art, No Frills Tutus, and Lewd Pony Press are just a few of the vendors who will be on hand with their wares. Admission is $6 and free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult. After the market is closed and the vendors are off-duty, join them for the Vendor After Party from 7 p.m. to midnight — think live music and alcoholic beverages. If you already paid your $6 market admission and stayed, there’s no additional fee. If you go just for the nightlife, $10 please.
