Don't try to figure out where the duo Hymn for Her is from — the answer is the open road. As the ultimate rock 'n' roll nomads, the real-life and musical couple, Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing, travel, live, make, and record music in a vintage Airstream trailer, crisscrossing the country and even, recently, Europe on a sort of permanent tour. Unsurprisingly, the duo's shambling, rootsy music is the kind of pure vintage American stuff that sounds like the grist of a dusty road. It's nearly impossible not to be taken with the cute coed dynamic and the catchy, rollicking songs. So, luckily, you can catch the group twice in South Florida this weekend.
