It's hard to separate the name of Los Angeles rock act Great White from the event in recent history with which they're most associated. It was supposedly this group whose pyrotechnics caused a notorious 2003 club fire in Rhode Island that killed 100 people, including the band's then-guitarist. Unfortunately, the tragedy wasn't even technically written about correctly in the media, because the act performing that night wasn't even the real Great White. It was officially billed as "Jack Russell's Great White," legally named for the former vocalist who started his own, split-off iteration of the group with only guitarist Mark Kendall as another original member.

The Great White coming to Boca at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater is legally the real Great White, another split-off version, this one featuring Terry Ilous on lead vocals, Mark Kendall on guitars (confusingly), Scott Snyder on bass, and long-running members Michael Lardie and Audi Desbrow on keys and drums, respectively. Despite all the drama, this band still brings the old blues-inflected hard-rock hits. Old MTV/Sunset Strip-era staples "Rock Me" and "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" are, of course, requisites on the set list, and support comes from other icons of the era: Quiet Riot and Kip Winger.
