There's an old saying that goes, "There is nothing new under the sun." And maybe it's right. But it doesn't say anything about what new things you might discover beneath the moon - all you need is a little light. Precision Paddleboards has just the thing to light your path — a stand up paddleboard lit from below. If you head to Esplanade Park Friday at 7:30 p.m. for the NightSUP Demo and Launch you can hop aboard and paddle one of these UFOs across the dark waters of the New River. The boards are like fish magnets, attracting teaming sea life to the LEDs lining the bottoms of the stand-up paddle boards. Paddle veterans from Precision Paddleboards will be on hand, so whether you are looking to try something completely new or an expert paddleboarder intrigued by the idea, this free demo ride is for you. Esplanade Park is located on the south side of Southwest Second Street, across the street from the Museum of Discovery and Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
