Like it or not, long summer nights are nearly upon us. There's no escaping it. But there is a way to embrace the season of heat while decompressing from the hectic routine of life - a stroll through nature. The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens' summer walk series, Sushi & Stroll, returns today, with encores on July 13 and August 24. The season's first stroll begins at 5:30 p.m., when attendees will enter lush, botanical bliss and get lost in the tranquility of the long winding paths. Gaze at the bonsai tree collection, step through the bamboo groves, and snap photos of koi fish to post for your Facebook friends. Guests can explore the museum's six gardens either on their own whim or opt to do the self-guided audio tour, which will explain the inspiration behind each garden. The cost is $7 to attend, and museum members get in free. For an additional $2, watch a hard-hitting, hip-shaking taiko drumming performance.
