It can be argued that the 1980s gave the world some of the most iconic films of our time. Robert Zemeckis showed us the future through the eyes of Marty McFly. John Hughes made us fall in love with geeks, rebels, and a redheaded girl. On Saturday, you can celebrate these two neoclassic films and the memorable '80s decade at Subculture's "Sincerely Yours, Marty McFly." Beginning at 8 p.m., the Gateway Theatre is showing a special double-feature screening of Back to the Future and The Breakfast Club. In between films, there is a special intermission with music, live screenprinting by the Fine Print Shoppe, and a commemorative photo booth by Ian Witlen. The theater's lobby will be transformed into a crafty marketplace with various Indie Craft Bazaar vendors and the artwork of Kristin Frenzel. Local bands Suede Dudes and the Band in Heaven will provide the soundtrack for the event alongside DJ group Jams. Throughout the night, attendees have the opportunity to win giveaways from local businesses like Laser Wolf, Urban Brew Coffee, and Radio-Active Records. Gateway Theatre is located at 1820 E.
