For the past year, the club's weekly Black Friday night has been a refuge and hot spot for goths 'round South Florida. Rock act Lavola's Julian Cires told New Times before the Black Friday Nine Inch Nails tribute show of Trent Reznor's huge influence on him as a musician. "I scream my heart out onstage," he said, presumably referencing his black, brooding heart. From a dead-celebrity theme party to masquerade nights to the Midnight Market — specializing in everything from sex toys to nipple pasties — Black Friday has been a counterculture wet dream since it began some 52 weeks ago. And there's no end in sight.
