The buses are back, but this fleet of bright-yellow vehicles isn't here to shuttle the kiddies back to school after a long summer break. This band of party buses -- or trolleys, as the case may be -- represents the Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop, which hits the streets Saturday night for an evening of rowdy entertainment, boozy drinks, and safe rides. Bus loopers get a free drink and/or food item at each of the 15 participating venues, which include Blue Martini, BurgerFi, Lulu's Baitshack, McSorley's Beach Pub, Soprano's Piano Bar, the Parrot, the Sandbar, and Quarterdeck. The loop (sponsored in part by New Times) runs rain or shine, and proceeds benefit six local nonprofit entities, like the Jack & Jill Children's Center and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop is 6 to 11 p.m.; check-in tables are open from 5:30 to 9. Buses run until midnight. Tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 at the door, with free admission for designated drivers. Check-ins are at the Gallery at Beach Place (located at 17 S.
