Social media provides a public platform for everyone to voice his or her innermost beliefs and struggles, but there's (unfortunately) very little nuance involved. The fourth-annual The SpeakOut: An Evening of Poetry & Song is the thinking man's way of "putting it all out there." The poetry and music compilation gives South Florida's literary community -- yes, such a thing does exist -- a venue to share works from a variety of disciplines. Actor/director/spoken-word artist Rachel Finley, otherwise known as FlowDiva, will return as host of the event (she emceed the three previous editions). Musical guests will perform between each set. The show is presented by South Florida performance company Conundrum Stages. The SpeakOut: An Evening of Poetry & Song is at 8 p.m. Friday at Gigi's Music Café, at 4385 N.
