as sympathetic as one can be about the plight of the U of Miami at the hands of the NCAA, how can one rightfully deny Miami committed numerous violations? The methodology of the investigation, as hypocritical as it may seem, does not negate the violations. The sports world is a closed and close knit society where no one is a squealer. That is the root of the problem with enforcement. A fraternity of thieves.
BTW, Alabama was guilty as all hell and the secret tipster was rumored to be Phil Fullmer or one his assistants. The irony is that Tennessee has been hammered by the NCAA and Bama has been mildly scolded. Bama's dirty tricks go back to, and include the legendary Bear Bryant.
