The City-Wide Market is expanding its reach this weekend with a new venue in Coral Springs. Why should east Broward get all the cool events? City-Wide brings its particularly successful brand of indie-crafts fest to the Coral Springs Gymnasium in Mullins Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Chris Gaidry and Amanda Weiner are the organizers of Indie Craft Bazaar, which takes place regularly in downtown Fort Lauderdale, as well as other City-Wide Markets held in Pompano Beach and elsewhere in Fort Lauderdale. The market is a combination of indie crafts, art, repurposed goods, and vintage. You can peruse vintage clothing and eyewear from Abby's Ideas, pick up some retro kids' toys from Joy's House, and taste some candied bacon -- yes, bacon! -- from Scoops of Sunshine. Other vendors include Vintage Objects (selling vintage jewelry, cameras, watches, and other items), Cue-Ball Art, and Forever Antiques & Collectibles.
As with all City-Wide Markets, admission is free, and so is parking. However, you can make a donation to Grateful Paws Animal Rescue. Coral Springs Gymnasium in Mullins Park is located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, call 954-785-7475, or visit citywidemarket.com.
