Some families camp together, some go to the movies, some go on vacations. And then there are those who band together to find fame by giving an outrageous performance for a TV weatherman they’ve accidentally mistaken for Frank Capra. Such is the case for the Hay family in the play Moon Over Buffalo as they put all they’ve got into one last chance at the ultimate dream: stardom. The original run of the play was in 1995, and the script was so funny that Carol Burnett returned to Broadway for the first time in 30 years to perform in it. She ended up with a Tony nomination, and the world ended up with another great play by Ken Ludwig, the man behind Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You.
