Food and music have a lot in common: Both are created by talented artists; both can hit you on a visceral, emotional level; you go out to experience both in their respective venues; and both can rock your world. So it should come as no surprise that South Florida's new mecca of rock 'n' roll is hosting a wine and food festival that should knock your socks off.
On Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is hosting its annual wine and food festival with food from more than 40 restaurants, including Martorano's, Tato, Sea Level, Luigi's Coal Oven Pizza, 3030 Ocean, Kitchen 305, Council Oak, Benihana, and Bongo's Cuban Cuisine; more than 100 wines and spirits; live music; and lounges. General-admission tickets cost $65 in advance, $75 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $125 apiece, which includes early entrance, at noon; celebrity chef cooking demonstrations with the grand marshal Steve Martorano; exclusive access to covered seating; and a VIP champagne toast. The event is benefiting the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation. Guests must be at least 21 to attend. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is located at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood.
