Most museumgoers are more likely to pretentiously espouse the merits of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, or whatever other visual artist is being shown on the walls of the gallery. Generally, they're not going to explore the flavor profile of a glass of pinot while sitting among paintings -- that's too bad for them. The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale is hosting another night of its Art of Food and Wine series with certified sommelier Stephanie Miskew this Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. For $40 a head, guests get to nibble on light bites while learning the secrets of selecting the best wines for less than $20 from around the world -- works for wine geeks and winos alike. Reservations are required. The Museum of Art is located at 1 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Call Gail Vilone at 954-262-0249, or visit moafl.org.
