Everyone loves a birthday party. You get to drink, dance, eat, drink, and eat some more. In our estimation, few occasions are more enjoyable than that. Whether it's for your 1-year-old nephew (even better because it's not your kid), your 21-year-old cousin (just make sure you leave before the vomiting begins), or your bestie's 30th natal day, you know you're getting into a major celebration. Though one of the biggest parties in the United States is America's actual birthday, we can always get down on a patriotic anniversary -- or any commemorative celebration, for that matter. On Sunday, American Social is hosting its second-anniversary party in epic proportion. Taking place from 2 to 9 p.m., the party at the Las Olas bar and eatery will commandeer the lawn of the Riverside Hotel (across from the restaurant) for the day. The family-friendly event will feature an open bar, plenty of barbecue and other food, giveaways, and live entertainment. Chris McCarty and DJ Supersede will perform live. And to honor more of 'Murica -- and soccer -- the World Cup will be broadcast live on a big screen. The cost to attend is $55 per adult. Tickets must be purchased in advance; a copy of a paper ticket is required for entry. Riverside Hotel is located at 620 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.
