South Florida band, The Gray Girls, clearly adore the genre as well. Combining a wall of neo-psychedelic noise and soft vocal effects, the new group has gone to great lengths to capture the chaotic intensity that made the shoegaze sound so hypnotic in 1991. The band plans to release their first LP, Honey I, soon, and will be playing some warm-up shows to celebrate.
See this up-and-coming act at their live debut this Saturday at Radio-Active Records, located at 1930 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Admission is free, and the show starts at 8 p.m. Call 954-762-9488 for details.
