Any sense of remorse about overdoing it at this Thursday night's Hollywood Craft Beer Pub Crawl can be overcome with the thought: "Hey, it's for a good cause." Who can argue with that? A $10 donation from each pub crawler goes directly to the Covenant House Florida -- a private organization that provides services and shelter for at-risk kids. On top of that, you do-gooder, pat yourself on the back for supporting the local economy so fervently. The five bars participating in the crawl -- Tipsy Boar, Native Tap Room, Whiskey Tango, the Big Easy Bar and Grille, and Mickey Byrnes -- will feature one limited-edition beer from four Florida breweries (Cigar City Brewing, Tequesta Brewing, Due South, and Holy Mackerel.) Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tipsy Boar, located at 1906 Harrison St. in Hollywood, and runs until 9 p.m. Crawlers receive a "Drink Like a Local" pint glass and coozie and special prices at each venue and are entered into a raffle at the end of the night.
