The big house isn't for everyone, but in the play Delval Divas, it certainly suits four well-to-do women who are living luxuriously at a correctional facility. But just as they are enjoying their incarcerations, one of them gets released early, and someone who had the nerve to be sentenced to jail for murder is stuck in with them. This sounds like what would happen if Calista Gingrich, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Ann Romney got put in the slammer, then had to share a cell with one of the Pussy Riot girls (whose offenses were far less severe than murder, but can you imagine Calista having to say the words Pussy Riot?).
Delval Divas is being performed at the Willow Theater in Sugar Sands Park, located at 300 S. Military Trail in Boca Raton, from Friday through Sunday, November 18. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $25. Call 561-347-3948, or visit womenstheatreproject.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Nov. 2. Continues through Nov. 18, 2012
