We may live in a dog-eat-dog world, but the folks at Green Room in Fort Lauderdale are all about the cats, so much so that they will be turning the posh nightclub into a kitty paradise on Saturday for the first installment of Caturday Saturday. Alongside the cat-themed artwork displayed throughout the multilevel venue and dozens of vendors selling their cat merchandise, Jonny "Kitten Emperor" Veo will be debuting his clothing line, appropriately labeled Kitten Empire, for the feline frenzy. "Frankly, throwing a cat-themed party seemed like a no-brainer," Green Room rep Miguel Bravo says of the meow-riffic night, which will also feature a "kitten photo booth." As if the cat-scratch fever weren't puurfect enough, resident DJs have taken kitty-cat aliases; Hello Miggy, Andie Sweetpurr, and Catfuture have all the meow-samples ready for feline fans. Meanwhile, Hialeah act Radioboxer will play a live set for the obsessive cat crowd. The festivities begin at 10 p.m. Admission is 21 and older, and there's a $5 cover. There will be drink specials before midnight. Green Room is located at 109 SW Second Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-449-1025, or visit greenroomlive.com.
