Being an adult and getting grown-up gifts can make for a pretty boring Christmas. No longer do you wake up in frenzied anticipation at the crack of dawn. But fear not, apathetic man-children. Pink Ghost has been selling hip toys and saving X-mas for adults for the last two years. The toys they sell are genuine works of art, the kind you could put on your mantle without snickers from your friends and family. When was the last time your Battle of Endor re-creation was considered respectable?

To help celebrate Pink Ghost's two-year anniversary today, the store is having a big party with art, music (local acts Boxwood, Radioboxer, and Pretty Please), food, and a piñata filled with Pink Ghost goodness. It’s the perfect chance to meet the staff and acquire some unique toys; even pieces of art from the Bad Habits and Guilty Pleasures collective. Participating artists are Bryan Collins, Brian Gray, Taylor Meers, and Pooka.Machine. The free shindig runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at 21 W. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-616-1403, or visit pinkghost.net for more details.
