The fastest way to make the poseur list in skateboarding is to ride mongo kicking with your front foot. But anyone with hopes of winning Saturdays Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon will have to alternate feet to give each leg a rest. Theres nothing short about this race, from the boards (longboards recommended) to the course (26.2 miles) to the distance some of the contestants are traveling (How far away is Paris?). Theres also a 2.6-mile minimarathon, street skating, and FlowRider contests, and Adrenalina is celebrating the grand opening of its store at the Village at Gulfstream Park. Fridays the deadline to register, so if you have $125 and a longboard, then youve got a shot at the $10,000 first-place prize. Whoever thought riding mongo could be so lucrative?
