Yes, your favorite ’70s reggae flick has been adapted for the stage and will land at the Adrienne Arsht Center this Saturday. The Harder They Come tells the story of a young Kingstonian whose climb to the top of the musical charts lands him a spot as Jamaica’s most notorious bad boy and king of the island’s underground music scene. A full band performs the original soundtrack, so the songs you loved in the film, such as “You Can Get It If You Really Want” and “By the Rivers of Babylon,” will be so close you’ll feel as if your eardrums are in the orchestra. The film turned reggae into an international sensation, and the play will show you why. Order tickets at arshtcenter.org. The cheap seats cost $50, and Saturday’s shows begin at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. It runs through September 13.
