Best Comic Book Shop - 2008
War & Pieces
What do you look for in a comic book shop? A good selection of new books as well as an extensive catalogue of back issues, for one. But what else? Good prices don't hurt, especially if you're looking to round out that collection of Wolverine originals. You'd also want a knowledgeable staff — guys and gals who live the life, who can tell you about the latest issue of Jack of Fables or why you need to get some Y: The Last Man up in that mug. And since you're into comics, you probably want a place to game, too — a joint that will not only let you throw down on some Hordes or Warhammer 40K table-top action, but whose employees will bust out their pieces and play alongside you. Basically you've just described your ideal comic shop: War & Pieces. It's the kind of place where you'll not only get a huge selection of monthly issues and graphic novels, but they'll actually let you make a list of favorites, then bag and board them and hold them aside in your own personal box till you pick them up. For that service they'll charge you nothing, and reward you with a 10 percent discount on all comics in the store to boot, provided you pick up at least five copies a month. Now that's customer service. Add to that an extensive list of nightly gaming sessions, artists workshops, and miniatures leagues all taking place inside the hand-painted gaming dungeon, and you've got the ultimate comic destination.
There's some good shops mentioned, but one's been missed. For a great selection of back issues and for my money, one of the widest assortment of new comics every week, you've got to check out Crossroad Comics in Lauderhill - just up the road from Tate's. The owner's cool and takes care of everyone, plus they've got this guy Sam who's hard to stump on comics. The store's pretty big for a comic store (not as big as Tate's, but not as overwhelming either) and has lot's of stuff at good prices. They also have a pretty good gaming selection and will special order if you need something they don't have. I've been going to them since they were the old Exchange on Oakland Park and even when they were known as Past Present Future. Although they sucked a bit a few years ago, the new owner has them back in shape. I may jump around a bit at some of the other shops, but no one beats Crossroad Comics overall. Just one comic geek's recommendation.
The world's best online comic book store www.topcomicbooks.com
Well I would have to disagree, I have been to this store and I did not find the selection that is hyped in this article. I do recommend Earth 2 Comics in Pembroke Pines, I have been going there for over 10 years now and I can't seem to find another shop like it. They carry a little of everything, give you free bags/boards and their discounts are the best and their selection of silver/modern age comics are amazing. It is rare for a small store to carry as much as they do, so, its well worth the drive from anywhere. I highly recommend this comic shop for anyone looking for what a good comic shop should look like. check them out: www.earth2comics.net Catalina
This is a great comic shop where the staff is so into what they sell. These people live & breathe comics and tabletop games. There is a huge selection of comics, graphic novels, games & collectible stuff in a super clean store. The murals on the walls are by local artist and you feel as if you stepped right into a graphic novel. Often they have contests and give stuff away. I love that! Good snacks and a friendly hang out. One day I saw Batman there...seriously, he was.

This sounds good but I personally like Zaldiva.com Comics & Collectibles the best. You should check them out & their prices.
