I listen to channel 10 news daily and I'm a little upset. I learned today on the 6 oclock news  that the Miami Hearld has been sold. Why can't we hold on to any of our history in Miami? We are constantly selling and building every where not understanding somethings shoud not be for sale. It saddens me that know one seems to understand this.  Money has taken over in a big way. Why would we want more gambling in the Miami area? 

If there is a piece of land vacant anywhere in this City look out it want be for long. If you build they will come from every where. We seem to attract the World.  We need to focus on Educating our children and provide those men and women who protect and serve us with a decent salary as well as teachers. Do we really need more gambling in Dade County?

Hi Laurie, I have watched you on the news for years.You're great. You were at my office at Mercy Hospital-Pharmacy Administration a few years ago to judge the Christmas door. I was sitting at the front desk. My father Fausto Curbelo is turning 100 years old next week. He was very well known in Manhattan, NY in the 40' and 50's. He had his own band but also played with Xavier Cuguat. We, the family, are having a luncheon for him this Saturday at Habana Vieja, 3622 Coral Way from 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm. I was wondering if you might want to interview him just for 1 or 2 minutes. He is a pianist and if you would like to see and hear him play go to google and enter his name Fausto Curbelo and up comes Fausto y Justina Curbelo. Click and you can hear and watch him playing.
