Buses and Booze versus Crohn’s and Colitis

The point of the bus loop: to provide a great time to a bunch of revelers and make sure nobody drives drunk. The mechanism of the bus loop: Everyone pays $20 (or $25, if you don’t preorder) to board a bus bound for nightlife destinations. In Delray Beach, that’s Boston’s on the Beach, Kevro’s Art Bar, Hurricane Lounge, Off the Avenue, Sail Inn, Pepe’s Hideaway, Bull Bar, Caliente, and Pineapple Groove. (Fort Lauderdale has its own loop, with different but equally cool venues.) You disembark when you wish, and you’re entitled to a free drink or trinket at each of the bars. There’s a whole fleet of buses on the loop, so every few minutes, you can hop on another bus and forge ahead. Afterward, there’s a pizza party at Hurricane Lounge. The whole thing benefits various charities, which combat such worthy evils as Crohn’s disease and illiteracy. Buses start running at 6 p.m. and finish at 11 p.m. Visit busloop.org.
