Would it change how you felt about one of your deranged family members if you found out they happened to be crazy rich? Before you delve down that morally questionable road, you’re advised to see Crazy Mary at Main Street Playhouse, a comedic drama that revolves around a woman isolated in a sanatorium and the sudden visit from her family members when they discover they’ve become trustees to her inherited fortune. Written by A.R. Gurney and directed by Matt J. May, the characters personify the shifting world of East Coast WASPs who seek to simultaneously escape and preserve their privilege. The best part? The central character is the institutionalized Mary. The show opens Friday at 8 p.m., and the play runs until August 15 at Main Street Playhouse (6766 Main St., Miami Lakes). Tickets cost $15 to $20.
