Culinary Mischief

There are two opinions of Rachel Ray: those who simply dislike her and those who want to slap the “yum-o” right out of her mouth. Get your chance to do either (well, don’t actually slap her) at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, which features celebrity chefs like Ray, hometown favorite Michelle Bernstein, and every other line cook turned Food Network star. Among this year’s highlights:

• Performers and dancers will keep you entertained from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday at Mischieve in the Garden of Agave at the Sagamore (1671 Collins Ave., Miami Beach). The event is sponsored by Hornitos Tequila, which claims it misspelled mischief on purpose as part of a philosophy that sports good-natured misbehavior. Drink cocktails such as Hornitail and Horni Wallbanger. The party will feature the Food Network’s Marcela Valladolid. Tickets cost $85.

• If bubbly is more your thing, Emeril Lagasse will host the Perrier-Jouet BubbleQ from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Delano (1685 Collins Ave., Miami Beach). The event features local chefs like Bernstein, Kris Wessel, and Norman Van Aken, plus A-list chefs from around the country, so you’re guaranteed to leave happily tipsy. Tickets cost $350. • Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., indulge in winetastings and culinary demos by Food Network stars at the Whole Foods Grand Tasting Village (13th Street and Ocean Drive, Miami Beach). Tickets cost $212.50.
