Lake Worth Playhouse is 59 years old! Fifty-nine years of brilliant community theater and indie films. Six decades of making sure South Florida isn’t a cultural backwater. Congratulations, Lake Worth Playhouse! If you’d like to show your appreciation, roll up to Paradiso Ristorante (625 Lucerne Ave., Lake Worth) at 6:30 p.m. for wine and grub. Tickets cost $40. The evening’s celebration will include a multicourse winetasting (each serving of which will be accompanied by special hors d’oeuvres), a discussion on the history of wine, and music from the cast of The Music Man. There will also be a silent auction, including Disney Park Hopper passes, a stay at the Colony Hotel, a “designer” cake, Palm Beach Zoo memberships, and a lot more. Visit lakeworthplayhouse.org.
