Easing the Pain of Football-Related Injuries

This is not information for people who like football. If you like football, the Dolphins play the Bills at 1 p.m. Sunday. There, look away now, because this is for the poor, non-sports-loving friends and significant others who are forced to endure endless hours of men running around a field in tight pants every Sunday. For you, there’s no need to lock yourself in the bedroom or flee your own home. Lure your football fiend out of the house and into the car by making a trail of beer cans and nachos. Once you have extracted him from the domicile, the goal is to take him somewhere he can watch “the game” and you can enjoy yourself while interacting with other humans. Watching a game at the bar is not a revolutionary idea, we know, but it all depends on where you go. World of Beer in the Promenade at Coconut Creek is a good place to satisfy both of these requirements. With flat-screen TVs lining every wall in the place, your sports addict is bound to find a choice spot, and — more important — with more than 500 different beers, you’re bound to find something to lessen the gridiron pain. And finally, with no kitchen of its own, WOB patrons can order from any of the restaurants populating the Promenade. There’s even a DSW Shoes.
