Eat Your Heart Out
In the heart of South Florida, there’s a little community of men and women who don’t care much for spending their time shopping at Dillard's. Instead, they spend their days hunched over sewing machines, crafting adorable trinkets in the shapes of owls and bears, adorning necklaces with wire frame faces, and baking cupcakes with heaps of beautiful frosting – just for the love of crafting. Help the local crafting community celebrate their hard work and dedication to the arts at Revolution Live (100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale) on Sunday for the Indie Craft Bazaar! More than 60 local vendors will be presenting their goods at the semi-annual craft show, which is now indoors. Entry to the event is only $5, parking is free, and the first 100 guests will receive free swag bags full of goodies. Come stocked with cash because there’s a full cash bar and snack options along with the craft goodies. It runs from noon to 5 p.m. For more info, visit getupandcraft.com, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
