Enjoy This Marathon for the Taste Buds
Over forty restaurants, and over forty wineries paired. (Craft beers and alcohol also available.) Foodies and boozehounds, unite! Yep, it's a night when delectable dishes from the area's most notorious restaurants are expertly paired with wines from local and international wineries. We love to eat and drink at the same time -- and the Fourth-Annual New Times Pairings let's us do that properly. Just to name a few, you'll have the pleasure of sampling bites from 3030 Ocean, Rok:Brgr, YOLO, and Sublime. And you'll wash it down with a perfectly matched beverage. But let's not leave everything to the taste buds; your eardrums will be treated to the sounds of Adam Foster, Fushu Daiko, Anthony Triana, and the Larry Joe Miller Band.
New Times Pairings' only about gluttony. We're happy to announce that a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Jack and Jill Children's Center, a nonprofit that provides early childhood education and support to strengthen working families of Broward County. Purchase tickets early online for $45 or at the door for $55. Now, if you're really feeling saucy, check out the VIP Package for $80, which entitles you to early admission, a larger wine glass, and exclusive access to the VIP lounge.
New Times'Pairings starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Broward Center for Performing Arts (201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale). Contact Jackie.Carlson@BrowardPalmBeach.com, and visit our food blog, CleanPlateCharlie.com, for more info. Instead of spending another Thursday night on the couch, grab your wife, date, or, hell, even your neighbor and kick-start your weekend with a night of savory indulgence.
