Pun alert: the Palm Beach Zoo (1301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach) is dragon your ass in just in time for Dragonfest, the zoos seventh annual cultural celebration of the Chinese New Year. All right, so the zoos six days late, but the holiday never does jive with our Western calendar, so well forgive. Although 2006 is really the Year of the Dog, the zoo is celebrating with a dragon theme because
well, dragons are far cooler. Plus, the events big finale is the Dragon Dance, in which a group of men swing around giant paper dragons to the amazement of young and old. The zoo is also bringing out a group of martial arts masters (to remind you how defenseless you are), as well as that perennial staple of zoo events face-painting. The whole day of events gets flying at 10 a.m. and admission costs $12.95. Call 561-533-0887, or visit www.palmbeachzoo.com.
