Girls With Strings Attached
From your island vacation to your belief in the tooth fairy, they say all good things must come to an end. And Friday night marks the end of the all-female music exhibition that has been going on for the past two years.
For the Acou-chix finale, Conundrum Stages -- the performance company that has been endorsing local talent in the tricounty area since 2008 -- has curated an eclectic lineup to herald the melodies of South Florida's most talented women. From rising stars to emerging singer/songwriters, the ensemble boasts the reunion of the Threes, a girl band that played at the event's first night in June 2011, and folk duo the Bows & Ties. The night will also include fresh voices that have yet to grace the Conundrum's Stage, like Maggie Baugh, Neysa Blay, and Bianca Jade. Hosted at Gigi's Music Café, come for a dinner -- anything from sizzling Classic Rock Burgers to crisp Homemade Garlic and Parmesan Chips and comforting Old Soul Fried Chicken and Homemade Buttermilk Waffles -- and there will definitely be a show.
Sirens & Strings: An Acou-chix Experience will begin at 8 p.m. at Gigi's Music Café, located at 4385 Pine Island Road, Sunrise. Free admission. Call 954-673-5124, or visit conundrumstages.net.
Fri., Sept. 20, 8 p.m., 2013
