Give Coors the Cold Shoulder
If it’s not illegal to guzzle a Budweiser or Corona during American Craft Beer Week, it should at least be considered a party foul of the highest degree. The annual celebration of all that is good and true about the flavorful and lovingly crafted brews of the good ol’ U.S. of A. kicks off today with a four-course craft beer dinner at Tucci’s Fire N Coal Pizza (50 NE First Ave., Boca Raton). The week continues with beer-filled activities throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties, including an American craft beer dinner Tuesday night at English Tap and Beer Garden (5050 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton), an interactive webcast featuring representatives of Southern Tier Brewing on Thursday night at Funky Buddha Lounge (2621 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton), and a pig roast Saturday night at Parrot Lounge (911 Sunrise Lane, Fort Lauderdale) starring both pork and Victory beer. Other events include movie screenings, pub crawls centered around craft brews, and beer tastings at specialty stores.
