Halfway to Halloween
For some, beginning of summer causes a panicky clutch near the area of their wallet (were halfway back around to the holiday season!), while others get all nostalgic and plan Christmas-in-July parties. How about a little taste of Halloween in June? Undergrounds Coffeehaus is having a weekend filled with costume opportunities. Channel your inner public-access-TV personalities Thursday at 7 p.m. with a Waynes World I and II viewing party. Those excellent enough to dress up as one of the mulleted duo will get a free coffee. The nautically minded have two whole days to express their inner seaman. Friday, starting at 7 p.m., see the Muppets Treasure Island, Treasure Planet, and Ice Pirates. Saturday, catch a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon with the first three films. Get your fill of the Undergrounds Coffeehaus current location (2743 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; 954-630-1900), because itll be moving soon; check back with New Times for more information on the when and where.
