Summertime calls for relaxing movie nights spent with family and friends, watching everything from classics to rom-coms, old films and new ones alike. This summer, Hot Days Cool Flicks is providing six weeks full of movies. This Tuesday through August 27, the Mandel JCC will host Palm Beach film premieres each Tuesday at 7 p.m.; the films will also be shown every Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Movies of Delray Beach, located at 7421 W. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach, and Movies of Lake Worth, located at 7380 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth. The lineup features a diverse selection of independent and international movies, including Dorfman in Love and The Outrageous Sophie Tucker.
On Tuesday, the film festival kicks off with Dolphin Boy, which follows the friendship between a teenager and a group of dolphins that helps him reach recovery. It will premiere at 7 p.m. at the JCC, located at 5221 Hood Road in Palm Beach Gardens; the Movies of Delray showing will take place this Wednesday at 4 p.m. Tickets cost $10 per screening or $54 for the six-film series.
