The “Robotics” exhibit at the South Florida Science Museum brings humans right up-close to their future overlords. You can play hide-and-seek with robots, “fool a robot sensor,” and race them in completing complex tasks — all skills that will be necessary in the rebellion against the coming robot dictatorship. There’s a “Kid Zone” where children can build their own robots; they’ll have to do so when humanity is forced to build an army of good robots to fight the genocidal android patrols. Sounding suspiciously pro-android himself, the museum’s CEO says, “If you’ve ever wondered how robot science got such a strong foothold in our daily lives and work, now is your chance to learn all about it. Moreover, this exhibit is a whole lot of fun... And we’re not done with robots yet. The future of our planet will surely be guided by new discoveries in this all-important scientific field.” Yes, it’s all very informative and interactive and “fun.” Until the robots take over and human beings become the exhibit.

“Robotics” is a national exhibit from the Carnegie Science Center. It opens Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the South Florida Science Museum (4801 Dreher Trail N., West Palm Beach) and stays through January 16.
