I Now Pronounce You, Free at Last
Divorce is generally a sad and messy business, so much so that it’s easy to forget that the finalizing of a divorce also means the end of an unhappy situation. Divorce Party the Musical is returning to the Kravis Center to help remind audiences of this very salient and cathartic fact.
Flip-Her Productions presents the story of recent divorcée Linda, who, with the help of Chubby Hubby ice cream and some very devoted friends, learns to put the pain of the past behind her and embrace a wide-open future — all set to music, of course. The previous run earlier this year sold out, and much of the same cast has returned, so get your tickets early, but leave the kiddies at home — the subject matter and language leans toward adults only.
The six-week run opens tonight and runs until August 19, with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tickets start at $25, and there are special group (and girls’ night out) rates available. They can purchased online, by phone, or at the box office. The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is located at 701 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Call 561-832-7469 or 800-572-8471, or visit kravis.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 1:30 & 7:30 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through Aug. 19, 2012
