Ol’ Billy Joel has been kicking around the music industry for a while now — beginning with his Billboard debut in 1973 with a little ditty called “Piano Man” that surely must be tattooed into the brain of every barkeep across these great United States. Since then, Joel had top ten hits in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. He’s a six-time Grammy Award winner, and he’s sold more than 150 million albums worldwide. With a resume like that under your belt, that entitles you to speak your mind a little. According to our CrossFade concert review, in his January 2 show, he shared his opinions freely and musically — during a rare cover of um, AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell,” he dedicated the jam to "all the guys who brought their girlfriends to a Billy Joel concert but in reality didn’t want to come in the first place." Zing!

Mr. Joel is quick with the self-deprecating humor, but we beg to differ. Dudes and chicks alike still love the Joelmeister. And we can prove it — head down to a dive bar late at night, slide a coin into the jukebox, and select “For The Longest Time.” Then sit back and watch the raucous sing-a-long ensue.
