We learn pretty quickly after those intense elementary-school finger-painting sessions that the real-world definition of “art” is as expansive and varied as those who partake in creating it. The good artists, the ones who always get us thinking, focus on the fact that art is not something that can be caged or restrained. Carla Fache, a native of Santiago, Chile, is putting this idea to the test starting Monday with her 2-month-long art exhibition “Beyond the Invisible.” Her style is not confined by the canvas but rather by the idea of using color as intuitively as possible to find the perfect balance. “Beyond the Invisible” opens Monday and runs until July 20, when there will be an artist talk and reception. The exhibit will be at Arts Park at Young Circle Gallery, at Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway in Hollywood. Guests are invited to view the exhibit for free, Monday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Call 954-921-3500, or visit hollywoodfl.org or carlafache.com.
Mondays-Saturdays, 6 p.m. Starts: May 20. Continues through July 20, 2013
